Bigotry and intolerance is inherent to #ChristoIslamic monotheism. It comes from the doctrine of each having access to exclusive truth, unbelievers being bound for hell.

Of course many Indian Christians and Muslims who have internalized Indic pluralism and also participate in a multi-religious experience. #IshratJahan reading Hanuman Chalisa was a recent example.

The State itself communalizes polity by making religious identity a primary marker and negating the multi-religious experience and Indic pluralism. You can't be a Hindu-Mussalman, for the State to give you a scholarship you must declare you are Muslim. This is destructive.
The State must stop religious discrimination and let Indic pluralism flourish. Indic pluralism softens exclusive intolerant monotheistic doctrines to create civic harmony. Secularism does the opposite—it fosters conflict, with "rule of law" to keep peace.
