A quick reminder of why this idea from Martin Howe (of the self-styled @lawyers4britain) is a non-starter.

In short: allowing “as now” trade in goods and services into the EU is a non-starter when the UK is not accepting the disciplines of membership. This is not - as Martin asserts - a matter of “punishing” the UK: it’s simply a question of maintaining the basic operation of the EU.
Secondly, any such agreement is negotiated under Art 218. Unlike Art 50 this requires unanimity. So a hostage to issues such as Gibraltar, fisheries access ...
This is a 🧟‍♀️ idea: but we seem to be short of silver bullets at the moment.
