So Boris Johnson's big announcement in Scotland is a rehash of growth deals already in discussion with just £300m shared with Wales & NI.

For context, the Tory government still owes Scotland £billions in missing funds and a No-Deal Brexit could cost Scotland £12.7billion a year

❌ This doesn't scratch the surface of the £400million that the UK Government has failed to invest in City and Growth deals in Scotland, in order to match the SNP Scottish Government's much higher levels of investment.

❌ It doesn't make up for the £175million that Scotland's police and fire services are still owed in VAT refunds - which the Scottish Government has been pressing the UK government for over a number of years to no avail

❌ It doesn't bridge the gap in the £55million still due to Scotland's NHS from the shortfall in Barnett consequentials that the UK government has yet to hand over

❌ It doesn't resolve the £160million still owed to Scotland's farmers in missing convergence payments that the UK government has yet to pay up

❌ It doesn't make up for the Tory cuts to Scotland's budget over the past decade

❌ Nor does it transfer to the Scottish Government a single penny of the Barnett consequentials Scotland is due from the £3.6bn announced for towns in England under Theresa May's Brexit bung

❌ And that's before you factor in the £3.4billion Scotland is owed in Barnett consequentials from the Tory government's Brexit bungs to the DUP for Northern Ireland.

💷 Amazing how Tories can always shake the magic money tree when it keeps them in power - but not for Scotland
