Enron hid their risk from investors. Amazon is the mother-of-all risk hiders with obscure accounting and nearly indecipherable financials. As someone who owned a fairly large fulfillment operation and doing it for ourselves, their retail model cannot make money at it stands.
They also are great at PR and this "drone delivery" idea is more to hype their stock price than solve the problem of "last mile delivery". Amazon's crash will dwarf Enron's.
Amazon's transition to selling "shovels to miners" AKA selling advertising is a smart move since idiotic marketers will buy it at grossly inflated process. Think about this: Why does Amazon need to sell advertising to other online retailers? They OBVIOUSLY make more money
than selling and shipping products themselves. Doesn't that strike you odd? Amazon has 700 million+ items to sell on their but they leverage data to sell to idiots who are using dubious lifetime value models that predict a golden future that never materializes.
