It's unbelievable watching this happen. All the people selling so much toilet wine about how much ass we are kicking and how many pedophiles are gonna burn or how real Q is but never asking who or why. Never considering maybe we're the bad guys. We've turned truth into dopamine.
It's not hard to see we are the bad guys - it's uncomfortable. We fight evil but evil is simply what we hate. That's what bad guys do. They hunt things they hate. That's what the truth movement is. A gathering of hate hunters. We must be good. Look at all this stuff we hate.

Let's talk tech policy about privacy! Unlike a lot of folks who talk tech policy, I'm tech-primary: my PhD is in cryptography, I've been a software engineer, I've run privacy engineering for big and small tech companies and we've developed a lot of the techniques.
So what I want to talk about today is how policy can work with and support getting good privacy work done. Regulation is clearly needed. *Good* regulation is needed. Bad regulation can easily make a bad situation worse and not everyone in the regulatory space understands in depth
No one understands everything! That's why we collaborate. So let me give you a bit of what I've been thinking from a privacy engineering point of view, in conversation with @yonatanzunger

5 years i couldve spent getting to know myself, going outside, enjoying nature, enjoying the other humans with whom i inhabit this earth. 5 years i could have spent doing anything other than strictly devoting my body and mind to an ideology. u dont recover from that easily. (2)
my point is, physical transition regret is not the only part of trans activism and ideology that hurts people. the very ideology that fills your head with lies is a big chunk of the damage. you lose vital years, you lose reality. and kids are being indoctrinated right now. (3)
