The OIC General Secretariat is saddened to learn about the civilian casualties resulting from ceasefire violations carried out by #Indian forces across the Line of Control and expresses solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu and #Kashmir. #KashmirBleeds
The OIC reiterates its call upon the international community to rise up to its responsibility for the peaceful resolution of Jammu and #Kashmir dispute through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

#Kashmir was an inland sea called Satisaar, inhabited by Pahadis/ Nagas (Sanskrit for mountain).
Brahma’s grandson, Rishi Kashyap on his pilgrimage from South India, (when In Jalandhar) was approached for help to free Satisaar of demons Jalodbhav who were tyrannizing the Nagas.
Kashyap Rishi performed poojas to save Nagas from Jalodbhava.

Tripursundari Sharika Devi, Durga incarnation, came to his aid in the form of an enormous bird/ Haer with a Divine stone in her beak; dropped it on 2 demons & killed them.
That stone transformed into Hari Parbat 🙏🏻
Indra helped Kashyap Rishi kill all demons but Jaldeva escaped. Vishnu ji transformed Himself into Varah & killed him.
Hitt by his tail, the mountains made a pass through which the waters of Satisaar flowed out..
That spot where mountains parted is called Varahmula/ Baramulla.

THREAD: we need to monitor the situation in Kashmir.

I'm going to start this thread in case things escalate. The Foreign Office updated their travel advice to the region yesterday (gov.uk/foreign-travel…).
Whilst the usual suspects have been keeping up with the situation (@ELINTNews @IntelCrab etc), western media have so far ignored it (as they did in the February 2019 tensions).

So, time for an update: what do you need to know?
@ELINTNews @IntelCrab I want to be very careful about linking different events - it's quite hard to do a simple 'cause and effect' analysis of this.

In brief: people have been fleeing the region for the past few days amid fears of both unrest and attacks.

India deployed 10,000 troops after Ajit Doval's visit to IoJ&K and sending another 25,000. The Indian Army Chief is reportedly in the valley. Indian C-17 Globemasters are making unusual trips with military cargo. Line of Control is Hot. PAF and IAF CAPs also came face to face -1
Gen Ayub had explained in his September 1965 speech that how India tried to create a war frenzy from from early 1965 by capturing posts in Kargil and other sectors of Kashmir which eventually led to war in September 1965. -2
Indian Army is shelling the civilians in AJK which is why Pakistan's Foreign Ministry summoned the deputy Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad to lodge protest 3 times in the past 3 days which is unprecedented. -3

Continuing my thread.

#Jammu & #Ladakh always received unfair behaviour due to #KASHMIR.

Total 88 seats:
Kashmir has 47 seats
Jammu 37 seats
Ladakh has only 4

Parties need 44 seats to be in majority in #JammuKashmir. Kashmir has around 98% #Muslim population.

#Delimitation
For the last 30 years, no other party other than @JKNC_ or @jkpdp has been able to form Govts here.

NC is a proprietary of the Abdullahs while PDP is that of the Mufti family.

They concentrate on 46 seats which is in #Muslim majority areas and hence end up having a majority.
#ModiSarkar realized the core issue & are working towards making sure #Jammu & #Ladakh have more seats thereby ending the unfair dominance of #Kashmir which has become a sole proprietary of the Abdullahs & the Muftis.

Ofcourse, NC & Pdp are hellbent to stop it from happening.

#Breaking - Some defense sources report #Indian air strikes across the Line of Control in Muzafarabad, #Pakistan. Indian air force briefing expected later today. Pakistan said Indian jets dropped their payloads & "fled". More confirmation of details needed.
There are also reports of dual, air and ground Indian strikes in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. No official word yet. Waiting for updates. Stay tuned.
There are also reports that 2 Pakistani JF-17s fighter jets have been shot down.
