Our long national nightmare of having a biosphere is finally over.
Let's pretend something insane. Real wackadoo.

Let's pretend GOP policy were driven by a RECOGNITION climate change is real, and their solution is: harvest earth's resources for a few thousand billionaires and let ~7b people die.

How would that look different from what we see?
You certainly wouldn't waste resources making sure they had health care, education, shelter, medicine, water, food.

As they stopped having those things, you'd just let them not have them.

Those who still could for now: cool, ok, fine.

How would it look different?
Environmental protections would be a hassle if you intend to strip the environment clean like a chimp stripping ants off a stick.

Consumer protections, water protection, air protection, a joke. A literal joke.

What would look different?
You certainly wouldn't have any interests in procedural norms, or democracy, or voting.

You'd start talking about the basic functions of government in a healthy society as if it were the enemy.

You'd build walls and many many prisons, for profit.

What would look different?
You'd popularize ideas that made what you were doing seem like virtue.

You'd equate hard work and efficiency with moral virtue. You'd make it seem that life must be earned.

You'd equate wealth with having earned the MOST life, and the MOST moral virtue.

What looks different?
You'd start militarizing. You'd probably start as many different wars on as many different fronts as possible, until people couldn't barely keep track of where we were.

You'd spend more on armies than any other nation ever.

You'd militarize your police.

What looks different?
You'd get god on your side.

If you could find a sect of a religion that believed that apocalypse was coming, in which they, the few righteous, would live in a perfect gated community while everyone else perished in fire, you'd for sure make friends with them.

Good good friends.
You'd paint every other alternative as "extremist."

Open borders? Globalist! Extremist!
Free health care? Communist! Extremist!
Affordable education? Socialist! Extremist!
Tax the rich? THEFT! THEFT! THEFT!
End carbon emissions? Endangering our way of life!

"Our."

"Life."
Am I saying that's what Republicans are consciously doing? Stripping the world, planning to murder 7 billion humans?

I am not.

But I *am* saying *if* that's what they're doing, I don't see how it would look any different from what they *are* doing.

So to hell with them.
Republican ideology and reality is extremist.

It's perhaps the most extremist and anti-human ideology the world has ever seen, ever.

Yes, I'm aware of the other ones.

We aren't extremist. They are.
When you are heading for the cliff at 200 mph, a strategy of incremental change favors the "let's go off the cliff" party.

They're fine going off the cliff at 190 mph.

The brakes are not extremist in that scenario, nor is a sharp turn.

The cliff is extremist.
Are they intentionally gobbling up the resources for the comfort of a handful of ultra-wealthy, and intentionally killing ~7b people in order to do it?

Answer: I don't care what they intend.

I care what they're doing.

Global murder is extreme. We should say so.
I 100% believe on average billionaires are grandiosely stupid enough to have not considered that when the air burns they won't be able to breathe, either, and sociopathic enough to view global murder as "a disruption."

But it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter because I'm not proposing a conspiracy theory.

I'm not proposing a darkened room where a cabal of shadowy figures plots global murder and planetary theft for the ultra wealthy.

I'm saying we can see the GOP enacting exactly that.

Who cares about how/why?
I don't care about their intentions, and I won't be distracted by their protestations about what those intentions are.

Instead, watch what they're doing.

Murdering the biosphere for cash. Generational planetary theft.

Stop the extremists.
Again, my point is not a conspiracy theory. My point is, there doesn't have to be a conspiracy.

We can be plenty horrified and opposed simply by what we see in the open.

What would look different?
No need to hang pictures connected with colored thread, to prove whos and whys and wherefores

It doesn’t matter if billionaires have no central conspiracy at all—in fact I doubt they do. Also: so what?

We see what we see: Harvesting the planet for a few and letting the rest die
You’d make the ability to produce and even full able-bodiedness fully equatable with earning the right to live.

What would look different?

Honestly, fuck this entire party and their anti-human nonsense.
