Just for the record, the claim that Trump is unusually popular in Israel is also false. He's more popular in Israel than in most other countries, yes, but he's not noticeably more popular in Israel than other US presidents have been. 
I cant readily lay hands on relevant polls from the 1990s, but I'd bet they showed Bill Clinton even more popular in Israel than his successors at their maximum
A lot of American presidents have had tense relationships with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but that hurts less than you might think, since a lot of Israelis also have a tense relationship with Netanyahu
