While pharmaceutical companies will pay $ billions to compensate white families devastated by opioids, the US government won’t be accountable to Black families devastated by crack when the CIA used funds from cocaine smuggled into the US to help the Contra rebels.

Being the niece of MLK gives you no definitive authority to declare what is or is not racist.

James and John were Jesus’ cousins. They couldn’t drink from the cup of suffering that he drank from.

#MLK would’ve called Trump a racist and you a disgrace.

White racists, with support from Black sycophants and racism apologists, like Alveda King, have basically turned #MLK’s legacy against Black people.

MLK is contemptibly used as a cudgel to silence and shame anyone speaking against white supremacy, racism, and anti-Black bigotry.
Who would’ve thought the legacy of the Drum Major for Justice, who passionately fought for Blacks and sacrificed his life, would be used as a tool to defend a bigot like 46-1 and bludgeon Blacks into passively accepting white supremacy?

He’s rolling over in his grave.

He called for 5 Black teens to be put to death over a rape they didn’t commit, but never said a word about the unjust murder of Blacks.

I’ve been thinking about the way Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County suburbs raise alerts about Black people or youth coming to their areas to cause crime.

But nobody is raising the alert about suburban residents who come to the city to buy their street drugs & cause crime.
If we are going to play a blame game, let’s tell both sides of the story. In December, I sat on the jury in a case where a White young lady came to the city and gave her car to a young Black man to purchase her drugs.

She was basically coming into Baltimore and boosting crime.
We rarely talk about the ways that White suburban drug users help increase illegal drug activity in redlined Black neighborhoods. I never hear of any plan to keep criminal suburban drug users out of Black neighborhoods, do you? Let’s be real about crime comes in to the city too.

White people think the Black Panthers were just the Black Klan.

Not even kind of similar. White supremacy doesn't have an equal and opposite Black ideology in America.

That's not how the dynamic works
The Black Panthers weren't even inherently hostile to white people.

The Rainbow Coalition, an organization with a mission to build interracial unity was a project born of Black Panthers.

White people have long branded them as a, violence racist gang. To justify the Klan.
The Black Panthers WERE proponents of Black people availing themselves of the 2nd Amendment.

They unapologetically advocated for armed Black communities.

And this terrified white people who had always advocated for armed white communities.

I was 16, when I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF.) I had no idea what was happening to me because at the time, it made no sense. However, I remember the pain of that period like noonday. I lived on dialysis until i was 22. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth
It took over my teenage years. I don’t remember having much of a life as a teenager because dialysis was 3x a week & every session was 4hrs. Add the time it takes to recover from being exhausted by the process, my day was pretty much over. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth

As I grew up, I remembered the power and influence and wisdom of WOMEN in my life. My Great Grandmother was the key:
Great Grandma Florence had bought 3/4 of an acre in #NorthSac (w/ her husband), when acres were $5.00 ea. They couldn't afford a full one! Great Grandpa died & I never knew him.

Grandma was our true #MATRIARCH. She had a huge garden w/veggies on one side, flowers on the other.
