There’s a certain type of person who wants to be a politician, and that type of person generally...sucks
You should never have faith in or trust any politician. You should tolerate and pressure them at best. If a politician does the right thing it’s by accident or because of enormous pressure. It’s a fundamentally abusive relationship by which the people give their power away.
Some people think we need to get “good people” in positions of centralized power. I believe this is a fantasy. I suggest targeting and reducing positions of centralized power.
This includes oligarchs, tech giants, mega banks, central banks, intelligence agencies, the Washington D.C. machine in general, etc. All are too powerful and unaccountable. All must be dealt with.
The founders of the U.S. specifically distrusted individuals and focused on the structure of government. Once again, we need to look at structure and stop pretending good people will one day hold power.
