Remember how police pursued Matthew Bernard, a naked White man suspected in a triple homicide, on a wild chase a few days ago & apprehended him safely?

Well this is how a DA justified police shooting & killing Marcus-David Peters, not a suspect in a crime, also naked, but Black.
This is what police did to Mr. Peters. No criminal charges were brought against the officers. The family intend to bring a civil rights lawsuit against the city. washingtonpost.com/news/post-nati…

So the teenage girl in Anchorage who was disqualified after winning a swim meet on Friday, because her swimsuit ran up in the back - or as the referee so specifically put it, they could see "butt cheek touching butt cheek?” Well it turns out she is Black. washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/09…
The teenager is a top-ranked swimmer who is likely to go on to compete at a collegiate level.
Last year, a parent took a photo of the teenager's backside and shared it with other parents, supposedly to demonstrate that the swimwear was inappropriate.

So Texas AG Ken Paxton, who's currently indicted on first-degree felony securities fraud charges, is blocking Alfred Dewayne Brown state compensation for the 10 years he spent on death row, even tho Mr. Brown's been found factually innocent by a judge & DA.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…
Cause, I guess, you know, the cruelty is the point.
Mr. Brown is legally entitled to $2 million in state compensation. AG Paxton told the comptroller he was guilty, without provding any evidence & said he shouldn't pay the compensation. As Harris County Kim Ogg said this was highly improper and completely outside his jurisdiction.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. I never share anything personal on here, but 4 years ago, I lost my baby sister, Cate, to suicide. It was the hardest thing I have ever experienced. I also know it is a remarkably common one, so please know, if it is yours, you are alone.

Okay, I figured the Thermian video was making the rounds again, but this is A+. Apparently Teal Deer made a "reply" and got himself a community strike for hate speech 😂
I mean, honestly, this is the first I've heard of any of this. Between VidCon, recovering from con-plague, and being energized to work on new stuff, I only learned about TL;DR's video, well, a half hour ago.
That said I suspected something was up when I received this DM a few days ago.

The best tell is that the DM frames this like a discussion that's happening right now and not a sadsack cartoon avi "replying" to a four year old video.

I'm going to piss some people off with this thread.

But much as it pains me, we have to be willing to call out even those who are supposed to be our allies if we're going to make them do better.

And we need to have an honest talk about Elizabeth Warren.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and brood about who she didn't endorse in 2016. I could forgive her for that if she showed since then she was willing to do better by the movement.

But looking at the money, it does not appear she's correcting course as we would hope.

First, a reminder of who we're talking about: the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is a body of roughly 67,000 physicians who work with children. It's a longstanding and credible body, using fact-based findings to shape its policies.
In contrast, the deceptively named American College of Pediatricians (ACP) has only a few hundred members (doctors and others) and has been designated a hate group. You may have seen their video on puberty blockers circulating around.
