Let’s remember how we got here:

The Tories and their coalition cut our services and created 130,000 deaths, despair and a desire to kick the established order

The entitled top tier of the Tories called a badly worded referendum on an issue not in the top ten of people's concerns to save their own party: and dismissed warnings that it wasn’t clear how it would be implemented.

Those Tories in power couldn’t muster anything honest or positive to say about the EU, ran an appalling campaign and lost to inspiring lies (while a media skipped it's duty and focused on the Tories on both sides).

The posh Tories on both sides ran off and left the incompetent May in charge of negotiations. They then spent three years undermining her.

Those privileged Tories are now in charge again - propped up by their bribing of a party bigots - they have no plan and no idea.

So the solution to this mess is to remove the checks and scrutiny and give *more* power to the privileged Tory elite?

The answer isn't less democracy it's fewer Tories.

This is a power grab by a party with no majority.

We all have a duty to stand up and be counted: we need to protect and rebuild democracy much as we need to rebuild Britain and protect our most vulnerable - and our planet - from capitalist attack.

Let us show the real will of the people: to live in a country where our votes count, and our government works for the many not the few.

Whatever your views on Brexit, we must resist the idea that parliament can be closed to prevent debate.
