Gee, I wonder why that is, when we have groups of people who actively try their hardest to say we are fakes and frauds. I have a connection to my family who are real indigenous people. Just because they did not live on reserve does not make them fakes. Shame on you
Robyn for suggesting so. My grandmother is a direct Muise. If my 2 (Muise) uncles who signed the treaties were not Mi'kmaw, then I guess their signatures must be invalid then .. Just because people didn't grow up on a reserve doesn't make them less Indigenous.
We have lost family connections due to great tragedies in our own communities. When we re-connect with our families we are connecting with our own people. But how colonial of you to say we have no connections. My best friend is Mi'kmaw .. as Usual you know nothing

I was 16, when I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF.) I had no idea what was happening to me because at the time, it made no sense. However, I remember the pain of that period like noonday. I lived on dialysis until i was 22. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth
It took over my teenage years. I don’t remember having much of a life as a teenager because dialysis was 3x a week & every session was 4hrs. Add the time it takes to recover from being exhausted by the process, my day was pretty much over. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth
