"CIA won the war" is a mythology. No, overwhelming Air Force, Navy and Marine munitions SOFLAM'ed and killboxed by Air Force F JTACS and SF teams supporting Dostum's horse mounted Afghans coordinating with the CIA won the war in less than 6 weeks. nytimes.com/2019/09/02/us/…
Secondly the Taliban we are in talks with are demonstrably corrupt and incompetent at running anything. So the same people that helped us (Dostum, Atta, Karzai etc) along with ISIS and AQ will be cast in insurgent roles against the taliban. Creating a bizarro world of violence.
Atta, Dostum and other minorities have the support of Turkey, Iran, the Stans and India..and popular support. Pakistan will support the fake beach talibs and the real talibs and ISIS will begin to attack shia groups in Afghanistan and Kabul. Just as they are doing now.
The war against ISIS is simplistic now but will be rapidly spread towards Herat, Mazar and the border with Iran, the Stans. Who will do this? Pakistan with Saudi money while the same country will begin to execute Erik Prince like plans to use mercenaries like in Yemen and Libya
