Va. Sens. Warner and Kaine say the Pentagon has informed them it plans to raid funds for these military projects in their state to build Trump’s wall
here’s a thought bubble: If the Pentagon has suddenly decided it doesn’t need to fund projects it has previously deemed critical, maybe, uhhh, it is time to be more skeptical of future requests to increase their insanely massive budget?
Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting for a press release from a Republican member of Congress announcing how much military funding the Trump administration is taking away from their district/state
McSally announces Trump admin will divert $30 million from a military project in her state to build the wall. She previously said no projects would be impacted. However, she claims construction of the Ft. Huachuca project was already delayed by environmental concerns into 2020.
Arizona Dem Senate candidate Mark Kelly says McSally "failed her most basic responsibility to put Arizona first....Senator McSally told Arizonans she had protected funding for Arizona military bases, and the fact is that she didn’t keep her word.”
Lee and Romney, 2 GOP senators who opposed emergency declaration, slam Trump admin's use of $54 million dedicated to their state to build the wall. Romney says in a statement that the move is "undermining military readiness."
GOPers facing reelection in 2020 who voted in support of Trump's emergency declaration, & whose state military projects are now being raided to build the wall:

Tillis ($80M)
McSally ($30M)
McConnell ($62M)
Gardner ($8M)
Graham ($11M)
Cornyn ($48M)
In McConnell's Kentucky, that $62 million was supposed to go toward building a middle school at Fort Campbell. Now headed to build the wall.
So after first slamming Trump's border emergency declaration in a lengthy op-ed, and then changing his mind, generating harsh reviews back home, Tillis appears to fare the worst amid all the GOPers up in 2020.
Schatz, Leahy, Durbin: “Congress trusts that when the Department of Defense asks for money, it’s because they need it. But that trust has now been eroded. We will strongly oppose any request by this administration to provide additional money for the projects"
Trump admin will divert $400 million in funding for military projects in Puerto Rico to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, including funds for a National Guard Readiness Center and a power substation.

Definitely don't need those!
