Spending this morning in a Milwaukee courthouse, at one of the most inspiring experiences our country has to offer: a naturalization ceremony. Immigrants from 33 countries, becoming citizens. And one of them, I’m so proud to say, is my stepfather.

Thanks to all the Dems marching and staffing tables at Labor Day events all over Wisconsin today!
To paraphrase a great proverb: Don’t tell me your values. Show me who you show up for, and I’ll tell you your values. #LaborFest
Trump sent the message that he looks down on Wisconsin workers by hiring a pilot to fly a banner over #LaborFest in Milwaukee rather than doing anything to actually show up on the ground.

Spending the morning reading academic papers on Hermes Birkin Bags. So many interesting factoids about collectibles/ stores of value. In no particular order:
1/ Strong quality narrative bordering on folklore.

* Takes 18 hours to hand-make
* Artisans require 2 years of training
* Trainees are hired from a prestigious leather-making school
* Meticulous inspections that, if failed, result in the bag being destroyed
2/ "Secrecy and success seem to be quite correlated when it comes to the
Birkin"

"The only thing Hermès wants you know about the
bag’s availability is that you probably can’t get one.”

Boutiques don't know how many they'll get. Hermes doesn't publish sales numbers.
