Air Force doc tweeted by Van Hollen says military families at Andrews Air Force Base face *$9400 more per kid* in typical costs for off-base child care unless new child development center is built. This is a project tapped by Trump for wall money.
Per the doc, "the bathrooms are constantly flooding" at the existing Andrews AFB child care facility, which has also had problems with mold, pests, broken HVAC and monthly backups in the kitchen.
Among people who would use the child care center: Active duty personnel, families of soldiers killed in combat, families of wounded warriors, per the doc.
