Trans is an umbrella category. The implication of that simple observation is that there‘s *almost* nothing that can be said about it except that it’s filled w/ souls deserving dignity. Hence most all of our conversations about it are derailed by category error & then derangement.
Have you noticed that there is something really unique about the logical progression of conversation on this one topic? I watch people who can easily discuss religion & politics with even their bitter rivals get into massive trouble on trans issues w/ their closest old friends.
What I‘ve learned is that I may need to stay out of conversation with people who have clear ideas about this enormous, general & varied category. The lessons for sport, intersex, suicide prevention, sexual development, science, family acceptance, etc. often depend on subcategory.
My question is simple. Does this ring true or hollow? Specially:

A) Are you watching more logical derailments on this topic than even other hot button issues?

B) If yes, do you think it is possibly that it just has more subcategory errors that have yet to be named and noticed?
