Jorge Juan Torres-Lopez, former Governor of Coahuila, Mexico, was extradited to the US from Mexico to face money laundering charges in a scheme involving bribery of a public official and stolen money from Mexico government.
He and his co-conspirator also opened accounts at JP Morgan in Texas and used those accounts to launder money to offshore accounts in Bermuda.
