I'm a bit frustrated with how people get hung up on relatively small pieces of important issues.

Immigration is important, but Central American refugees are only a tiny part of immigration.

Antitrust is important, but Facebook is only a tiny part of industrial concentration.
Subprime was a small part of the housing crash.

Voter ID laws are a relatively small part of disenfranchisement.

Air travel is a tiny part of climate change.

High frequency trading is a tiny part of finance industry waste.

Davis-Bacon is a tiny part of infrastructure costs.
I mean, I understand how people need a specific instance to focus on, in order to pay attention to something. But often, this can make us focus on the wrong solutions to big problems.
