2/ Progressives really, really need to think about how to use the Federal Reserve System to fund what we need. Have a financial catastrophe? What do the elites of both parties & Wall Street do? They run to the FRS's ATM to get $12 to $26 Trillion in relief. Even if the $26
3/ Trillion is high, what could $12 Trillion fund for the #GreenNewDeal and other infrastructure projects? What about cutting defense spending? Obama wanted to spend $1 Trillion on new nuclear weapons. To fight a nuclear war? How 20th century! The new threats, the new capital
4/ weapons are cyberweapons & hypersonic weapons. Social Security has its own trust fund, so why is that lumped in? I don't expect any clarity through these debates. The moderators are not serious. The game show format is not serious. And none of their speeches are covered.
5/ Neither CNN nor MSNBC spend time on the issues. They recirculate the same national security, law enforcement, and federal prosecutors--love them all--but they ignore other fundamental issues. If you positively think we are an empire, I can tell you, this is no way to run an
6/ empire. Even on the elites' own terms, that they are managing a liberal international order, this is no way to manage the present and prepare for the future. Our political elites are in command of the USS Titantic, and media want to discuss drapes, civility, & deckchairs.
