The disregard Trump & his allies have for the rule of law, and the trail they leave, aren't just sloppiness. They believe they won't face consequences because the other side always wants to "move on."
Grab power now, as much as you can whenever you can. That's their only rule, as with autocrats and would-be autocrats everywhere. Break & bend the law to do it, expecting power to shield you from that law later.
We heard this in the early days of Putin, "Doesn't he realize how bad this looks?" "Don't they know the truth will come out?" And? They care about consequences, not right or wrong. Being right and dead or in jail isn't much comfort.
Trump and his allies would rather win power than be right. They'd rather win than tell the truth. The Dems need to figure out, quickly, how to win with the truth.
