As for Trump's place, it's about Russia and his continued bizarre loyalty to Putin, of course, to discredit the proof of election hacking. Biden dirt was just impeachable icing on a treason cake.
Putin can't afford open confrontation with the more powerful free world, especially since his cronies & their families live there and keep their looted billions there. So it's hybrid wars & spreading corruption and political influence with oligarchs & fixers.
Ukraine isn't only a military front line in this conflict between Putin and the modern world, but a financial & political line between his criminal corruption and the rule of law, of transparency and accountability. We now know which side Trump is on.
