.@lizaramrayka talked me into seeing Elton John tonight and I was pretty excited and then I read the @maggieNYT story about Trump being a mega fan/obsessed with topping EJ’s crowd size and you know what I am still pretty excited.
Really hope he plays “Madman Across the Water”
So I’ve never been one for arena shows but the AV in the Chase Center are truly remarkable. And it was great to see one of Elton’s last concerts . A guy who can’t move like he used to still put on an epic delight for the eyes.
Hate that it’s named for a bank, stole the Warriors from Oakland, and usual caveats for tax breaks for arenas apply but holy shit, whatever your fave artist who brings visual panache—see them there.

I mean the only reason I, a 52-yo woman, know who Esther Williams is due to a 1977 Judy Blume book.

Hate-watching The Newsroom was actually a pretty fun time, in the Before
I am currently rewatching West Wing. (Long story) Even its worst moments are better than any moment in The Newsroom, which is slower, horrifically slow, chews WAY more scenery, and hello, only the control room would be that dark.
