Since the latest #Kavanaugh story broke my mentions have been flooded with women (and a few men) who have been victims of rape and sexual assault by men. It's heartbreaking, this recurrent trauma victim/survivors must endure because of this president's vile choices. #MeToo

I have tried to speak to everyone--to give support.
It's essential victims know they are seen.
But we need much, much more, starting with a president who will prioritize victims and not appoint accused rapists to positions of power--like judges.

We also need law enforcement that is more responsive to victims than to perpetrators and all of us have to stop prioritizing perpetrators.

The most important thing you can do is support victims and not perpetuate abuse of victim/survivors with claims that "good" men don't commit sexual assault--they do.
