Let me explain why Democrats are trying to use an edited clip from last night to claim @realDonaldTrump is racist. I’ll correct the clip in a moment but let me explain first why they’re doing it. They’re deathly afraid of the inroads he’s made with Hispanic Americans. *THREAD*
In 2016 @realDonaldTrump won 28% of the Hispanic vote. Since 2016 Trump has seen his Hispanic approval soar. In 2019 he’s had polls by @NPR @maristpoll @PBS & McLaughlin showing 50% approval rating among Hispanics (higher than whites). Dems know they can’t win 2020 if that holds.
The reason for the jump in approval? They realized the media lied to them.
In 2016 there was fear in some Hispanic communities because the media lied to them constantly. Now they’ve lived through 3 years of him as President they’ve seen their wages & job opportunities increase.

Even the most politically biased polls now have Trump at 35% Hispanic approval and more traditionally center lane and lean left polls like Morning Consult have him around 45% Hispanic approval. At these numbers @realDonaldTrump will wipe the floor with whoever Dems nominate.
So let’s go back to the clip that media & left wing activists are pushing today. In the clip they’ve edited it so Trump only says: "@CortesSteve Who do you like more, the country or the Hispanics?"

As a Hispanic person I felt I should take a few minutes to correct a few verified white leftists who were distorting the truth. Here’s what happened. They blocked me so their followers wouldn’t be exposed to the truth. They couldn’t stand their lie being corrected by a Hispanic. 
What the left doesn’t get: The crowd gets it. He’s not othering Hispanics, he’s playfully saying he loves them so much he might love them more than he loves the country as a whole. It’s a playful thing that folks who aren’t infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome understand.
