1. Nobody “pulled Labour out”. That is a right-wing tabloid narrative that you shouldn’t be reinforcing. The talks were forced on May after three defeats, they were a PR exercise and they ended when the gov’t refused to shift any of its arbitrary red lines.

2. The future declaration is a loose, non-binding doc, as you know. Approving transitional agreement makes sense only if you’re 100% confident either that the next election will deliver a progressive gov’t or that Johnson can be trusted to deliver soft Brexit. I‘m not. @SKinnock
3. MPs have good reason not to trust a serially mendacious, opportunistic PM. The possibility a GE may force him into coalition with extreme elements is very real. I respect that you disagree, but stop presenting yours as, somehow, the only rational/honourable position. @SKinnock
