When the political/media class voices solemn concerns about Bernie's "electability", what they're really saying is that if by some miracle he became the nominee, they would actively work to keep him from being elected.
I mean think about it: the billionaire media, which has been reaping huge profits from Trump hysteria, would stand nothing to gain and everything to lose by allowing Sanders to win the presidency. And there are mechanisms in place to carry out this agenda:
"I'm concerned about Bernie's electability" really just means "If Bernie somehow gets past the DNC's election rigging, we'll have to manipulate the dominant narratives and make him lose to Trump, and nobody wants to see that."

The US government is telling you in plain English that an attack on Saudi oil is an attack on America. Saudi Aramco = America. They've stopped trying to even conceal the fact that we're living in a globe-spanning plutocratic empire.
You know things are getting crazier because "an attack on Saudi oil is an attack on America" was a satirical line from The Onion four months ago.
These increasingly brazen acknowledgements that Washington DC is the capital of an empire are also seen today in the way US government officials are treating the Solomon Islands' diplomatic pivot to China over Taiwan as a secession from the union.

Imperialist narratives consistently rely on shifting the burden of proof. It's not anyone's job to provide "evidence the drones originated in Yemen", it's the US government's job to provide conclusive proof for its claim that they originated in Iran.
Burden of proof should be a universal principle, especially with regard to accusations made by an empire with an extensive history of lying to advance geostrategic interests. But it isn't. You can predict which Americans will believe Pompeo's claims by who they voted for in 2016.
One of the absolute stupidest things about US politics is how they made regime change in Iran vs regime change in Syria a partisan wedge issue, and partisans only question possible false flags based on which of those agendas their team cheers for.

American liberals & progressives talk a bit about white privilege, male privilege, straight privilege etc, but one thing they never talk about is American privilege: the ability their nationality gives them to have a completely unique relationship with the world we share. Thread:
American privilege is reluctantly allowing the potential Commanders-in-Chief have an eight-minute conversation about foreign policy in your presidential primary debates, when your country's military policy functionally dictates the affairs of rest of the world.
American privilege is being able to your mind over someone using the wrong pronouns while your government butchers innocent people every single day and pours money into governments and groups who hang gay people in the town square.

After two days of dealing with them in my replies, my overwhelming impression is that there are significantly fewer gamergaters than there were a few years ago, but the things they say have not gotten any smarter.
A typical example - unusually colorful metaphors, stronger than average spelling & grammar for this set...but equivalent in content to “ur soooo dumb hurrr hurrrr”

Never any substance. A screenshot of a tweet reply to me from @AmericanMinear that says, “That’s because you’re a moron with the observational skills of a cinder block at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.”
I suppose “never” isn’t quite true. Sometimes, one of them trots out a tired argument that is just as untrue and/or irrelevant now as it was 4 years ago when it was first proffered. Here are some examples:

I think most social change organizations and left news/opinion journals are on the up and up. They want change, but there is an inherent conflict of interest. When we are winning, people donate less money and follow the news less avidly. Losing can be profitable for the left. 1/
I remember how much Bill Clinton's victory devastated left organizations. They all had to lay people off as their supporters immediately thought just electing a Prez was all that was needed to win change. That was our failure to educate members 2/
and the dramatic loss in membership certainly affected our collective ability to counter-organize when the medical-insurance industrial complex fought to block health care reform. My organization had to close three offices. Some just went under completely. 3/
