Started gardening recently - the aging process is now taking place at quite an accelerated rate - and it has completely changed my attitude to rain.
I'm proper into it now. I want that shit bucketing down. And worse, the first thought I have when I see dark clouds is 'the plants could use some rain', which is exactly what mad old bastards said when I was young.
It's quite an odd experience. I planted some coriander and then cared for it for a few weeks, watching it grow. Then when the missus asked me to pick some for the food I was like: What? You monster. Those are my little plant babies.
I am now trying to be less of a weirdo, but it is a struggle. I have become disproportionately protective towards the plants.
Anyway. Rain. Excellent. Bring that fucker on.
