Probably the most euphoric reception for a leader's conference speech I've ever seen.
Not sure I've ever seen such a disconnect between the competence of a speaker and the jubilation in which they're received.
Corbyn's delivery is dreadful and the content of the speech mostly uninteresting, but the audience treat it like he is the messiah.
Corbyn pretty much ruling out an immediate no-confidence vote, saying he wants no-deal ruled out before an election.
"A no-deal Brexit is in reality a Trump-deal Brexit." Good line.
Labour is so mad. They've spent the last few days trying to murder one another and are now engaged in some kind of mass unifying spasm of euphoric love.
God his delivery is fucking weird.
Whether angry or mock-reasonable, it's like he's trying to convince a child to finish eating their dinner.
Hard part is the general political thrust is correct: take greater control of private sector activity to improve people's lives.
But it comes wrapped in this angry, tribalistic, media-hating, paranoid package, unable to think outside of its ideological blinkers.
