Think twitter chats like #primarycarechat are content-rich, but confusing? Do you feel lost re: how best to keep up/engage?

Great news! Our own @meggerber has put together a little how-to so you can get the most out of our chats. (props to @TravisABenson, who provided inspo!)
First off – what is a chat?

- An account/group (like @primarycarechat) asks questions (usually 4, spread over an hour)
- People respond at their own time/pace (sometimes even after the fact)
- There are usually standard hashtags (e.g. #primarycarechat)
How to participate:
- At the designated start time, navigate to the chat.
- Wait for the intro tweet from the hosts...when it pops up, respond to that tweet directly.
- Pro-tip...don't forget to always include the chat hashtag. It's how participants follow the chat convo!
The "official" chat questions (which usually center around a particular topic) will be labeled Q1, Q2...

To respond to those, you do the same thing as with the intro tweet - ie, reply to the tweet.

(Be sure to label your answer A1, A2, etc. And always use the chat hashtag!)
"How do I see other people's responses to question?"

It's simple – they'll all be listed as replies to the original tweet! So if you'd like to read responses to Q3, you just look at the replies to that tweet. A hint you're doing it right: they should (mostly) be labeled A3.
If you want to follow the chat responses in real time, just type in the chat hashtag into your search bar, then index by "latest" (it'll default to "top" so be sure to change!)
Also – you can respond to other people's replies/comments! Just hit the comment bubble on the tweet to which you'd like to respond and make sure to include the chat hashtag.
That's it! Some summary points:

- Twitter chats are great opportunities to collaborate/network
- The chats consist of aggregated threads of comments (tweets)
- When in doubt, follow the "#"
- It's not an intuitive forum, but using the hashtag allows you to keep up!
