As @rizzoTK points out, Trump made an objectively false claim to Zelensky, wrongly saying Biden bragged about having “stopped the prosecution.”

Rather, Biden boasted of getting a prosecutor fired - because the prosecutor was widely seen as unwilling to prosecute corruption.
We’ve seen zero evidence that Biden tried to stop the prosecution of the owner of the company on whose board his son sat. To the contrary, the US government was frustrated with the prosecutor at the time for *hindering* the investigation into that very person.
So...aside from the issue of appropriateness, Trump’s Biden-related request to Zelensky was also dishonest.
