Given that the Oregon GOP is now only slightly to the left of George Lincoln Rockwell, it would appear that Schrader is one of the folks who's ripe for a primary challenger to his left.
This person has registered as a primary challenger, tho I don't know much about him yet. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't entertained some Mr. Smith Goes to Washington fantasies.

Partisan working in conservative political media is horrified to learn that rt-wing media has tremendous power to determine what their low-info, partisan audience thinks is true. Hard to tell if a statement like this is intentionally deceptive, naive, or just stupid.
I mean...BIRTHERISM! In 2015 43% of Republicans thought Obama was a Muslim. Come on, man...you can't possibly be this dumb.

In trying to understand why the GOP acts as it does, most historians would suggest that it's generally best to apply Yoakam's Razor.
I mean...an LA millionaire in a cowboy hat singing these words is only a few steps removed from an NYC billionaire "man of the people" complaining about the removal of confederate statues, no?
It's worth noting that Yoakam grew up in that most Southern of places....Columbus, Ohio.

Regardless of Yoakam's intentions when he wrote that song in the 80s, I think there's little doubt how most of the 7 million people who've viewed that video would interpret the song.

You know the risk adjustment fiasco? Looks like CMS is (finally!) issuing a new rule to address the New Mexico court's concerns. cms.gov/CCIIO/Resource…
The new rule doesn't make any substantive changes. It just offers the additional explanation that the court said it was looking for.
The tl;dr explanation is pretty straightforward. If you want risk adjustment to discourage insurers from competing over how well they discourage unhealthy people from signing up, you've got to make it budget neutral.

Ideally you want to do this for your community-driven IP -before- a giant PR meltdown and having your brand infested by the alt-right but better late than never I guess. Not holding my breath but it would be nice if they engage this seriously.

Tbh, this makes me nervous.
First off, because I'm still not seeing active curation of spaces they already control (like their own Facebook comments). Second, because this message focuses on messaging-control, branding-control, and product promotion rather than actually managing communities.
That's not to say they won't or can't engage in community curation, but such efforts aren't what this post puts front and center.
