DNI Dan Coats was abruptly fired three days after the Zelensky call.
Why? The WH knew the Zelensky call immediately raised red flags among intelligence professionals.

This is just going to keep getting worse for Trump folks.

Trump tried to replace Coats with a Republican congressman, John Ratcliffe, who had minimal national security credentials but had been a fierce defender of the president in Congress.
Trump fired Coats by tweet on July 28th. The Zelensky call was July 25th. And Trump refused to promote his highly-respected deputy Sue Gordon -- pushing an unqualified Congressional supporter instead.
Take a look at Sue Gordon's letter of resignation in light of the whistleblower complaint.
"I am confident in what the Intelligence Community has accomplished, and what it is poised to do going forward."

🚨It's official. DNI Dan Coats is out. And his replacement is this guy. Texas Republican John Ratcliffe auditioned for the part during the #MuellerHearing. Ratcliffe accused Mueller of violating the law. He's a promoter of "deep state" propaganda & appeared on Foxnews this am.
In case it hasn't been painfully obvious, FoxNews can't run a country. Forcing DNI Coats out just as he put in place a structure to focus on election security is terrifying. Ratcliffe's already shown in his attacks on Mueller he's more interested in protecting Trump than the US.
