We are finding out that the much vaunted 'socialisation' of the school environment is actually an evolutionary mismatch, leading to depression, suicide, neuroses, and -ve psychological teenage conditions

In Hunter-Gatherer and animal societies, socialisation..

...is via multi-age groupings, not soley peer groupings. Children stuck in school with their own age group; no parents, aunts, uncles, i.e family groups, leads to dysfunction and an inability to navigate the world.

There is a genetic element of psychological conditions but they only manifest as negative when there is a mismatch between genes, or 'predisposition', and the environment. The same with T2D, Obesity and IR.

Doctors and psychiatrits treat this mismatch with drugs.
