Trading Systems? Forget Mr. Right, Choose Mr. Right Now

The fundamental tenet of all system trading is that the strategy should work across a broad range of time ranges and a wide swath of products.
For example, a “robust” algo in FX should be able to trade all the eight majors currency pairs and make money for 10 years back.

Otherwise, you are just cherry-picking and curve-fitting your data and all the serious data scientists will go tsk tsk in disapproval.
Exactly wrong.

Yes, I may be committing my greatest trading apostasy to date, but I am here to tell you that the ONLY way to make money from algo trading is to cherry-pick away.

My 1-on-1 coaching student from NewYork, @AnthonyGiaconia, bought this NASDAQ stock #RUN. At the time of purchase, the stock was meeting all our requirements & was resting around a rising 50DMA.

On 17th June, it broke out from 2T VCP formation & he got in at 17.05 with 1R risk
2 days later, on 19th June, #RUN fell 7.5% from days high only to close in the upper 80% range of the entire day. A drop like that must have shaken out many weak holders.

That strong closing, after the shakeout, only increased the confidence in the trade & led to his 2nd entry

So I saw something at the thrift store that's weird so I had to get it.
It's a "Cellebrite Touch". It's Wii-U tablet sized (but a bit thicker), but has a bunch of odd things about it, and it turns out it's Very Interesting.
On the back you can see this thing has a lot of rubber around it, because this is a tablet designed to be very rugged.
On the left side we have a headphone port, VGA, RJ45, and USB.

#EURUSD rally is coming! I have been calling for this for few weeks, and we are getting closer. I expected it to begin >1.130. After breaker this level, I however think, we will see another low in EUR before the pair takes off. Hence, weakness (initially) before rally #HZupdates
Callings of crash in #EURUSD now. I have been of opinion, that we will see significant rally first taking us much higher than most traders anticipate. The rally is the last wave in wave 2. The last chance to get out before the EUR begins crash towards LT-target of 0.91 #HZupdates
Like EUR, #Gold #XAUUSD will also crash. However, we are about to set out for significant rally, which will bring Bulls back out with claims of USD 1500+. This will not be the case and when Gold tops, the decline will be strong. I have updated my LT-target to 750 USD #HZupdates

#EURUSD As expected weeks back, we have seen EUR weakness in current wave b in the correctional abc-structure of wave 2. This correction (wave 2) is not done yet! We still need wave c - which will be a strong rally. LT-target remains same: min. ~0.91 by mid-2019 #HZupdates
#XAUUSD ran ahead of EURUSD in the rally up towards it's wave 2 target. We are not quite there yet. Few more days (weeks?) before a major top for Gold. I cannot emphasize this enough. Now is the time you need to get out of Gold. Coming wave 3 down will be strong #HZupdates
