@thecableng @PeterObi So, if Nigeria should ignore the World Banks & IMFs of this world and also fix her poverty threshold at $427 or N153K p/a, instantly shedding about 70% of her current poverty numbers, would @PeterObi consider that laudable too? After all, he is endlessly impressed with China's.
@thecableng @PeterObi It's also necessary to remind @PeterObi that India lifted 271 million people out of poverty from 2005 to 2015. Guess which party sank over 100m Nigerians into extreme poverty by 2012?

Blame casting won't help. Nigeria has suffered from substandard leadership, which was often a mirror of the citizenry at each epoch.

The Post-Independence generation was feckless, post-Civil War fatalistic and post-Oil Boom reckless.
So, today's Nigeria is what you get when 'No Skin Pain' is joined by 'Siddon Look' who is followed by 'I Don't Care.'

Now things have come to a head. All the cans (of worms) kicked down the road by the 2 earlier generations are being fired back upstream by the last generation.
Now, no one is at ease. Each generation resents the ones before or after. Without institutions to diffuse the starkness of our national distress, our institutional memory is clogged with generational buck-passing and blame casting, like we currently do.

If Portman had any knowledge of what Trump and Giuliani were up to at the time (and Ukraine said some Senators were aware of it), then Portman has a huge problem to address.

This also might explain his truly bizarre behavior through all this.
Like Portman, Senator @ChrisMurphyCT traveled to Ukraine.

On Murphy’s trip, Zelensky was quite open about the situation and how confused he was. Would be odd if he hadn’t shared the same w Portman.
