The court has released its decision in the #NetNeutrality case, largely upholding the FCC's repeal of net neutrality protections. However, the FCC's sweeping declaration that states can't write their own net neutrality laws was rejected.
The decision makes clear that the FCC failed in its duty to consider certain issues--public safety, pole attachments, and Lifeline--when issuing the order. The FCC must now examine those topics and respond.
The decision underlines when the FCC abdicates its responsibility to protect net neutrality, states can fill the void. California has already taken the lead, passing a gold standard net neutrality state-level bill. Other states can and should follow suit. eff.org/deeplinks/2018…
