I'm 63 & just lost #TheBookstore I solely owned & operated for over 6 years. I had 1000s of customers. The fire happened 3 weeks ago. I am still reeling. No living person was there. But a billion words & a billion thoughts were. Over 15,000 books.

This FIRE was my #Fahrenheit451 moment. Watching as every single one of my books turned to a crisp & disintegrated into ashes. As a child, that movie terrified me. Was it a premonition of the Shape of Things to Come? Yet another great book. I had such beautiful classics.

I do not have any inside photos of the devastation. I haven't even been able to bring myself to go there & look yet. It is too close to my heart. But THIS is my bookstore burning up in flames. HOW do I make a comeback?

#TheBookstore was my last stand. I had planned to keep it until I was at least 70 & then take on a suitable apprentice. Selling books requires the right person. It isn't merely a job. It's a passion. In order to resurrect I need funding. There's no getting around that.

In the meantime I am attempting to sell inventory & special books I had stored in my book shed on Ebay. There is no getting around that I need funding to get back on my feet. I am unable to absorb a $30,000 loss. My future is up in the air. Just saying.

I am getting many book donations. I just don't have anywhere to put them all! Thank you to all who have so generously reached out me. I need a miracle. Perhaps YOU are that miracle.
