Just because a dictator comes from your tribe isn't a guarantee that your life will improve. In most cases where the despot is the richest person in the land, you're bound to find the poorest person in that land a grenade throw away from the tyrant's vast estate
This observation dates back to biblical times:
Naboth was King Ahab & Queen Jezebel's neighbor
Uriah the Hittite along with his wife Bathsheba was King David's neighbor

Against all odds Mugabe went through school. Brilliant he was. Again his schoolmates testify to his orderliness. He was never seen once with an unpolished shoe & his shirts were crisp ironed. He wasn't given to loose talk or participation in banter & triteness

Dear Unemployed Young Man/ Woman living under a dictator,
Do not believe the LIE that the reason you are suffering is because you don't have the right or enough education! You have no job because the despot & his co-conspirators need an army of unemployed youth to keep wages low
Citizens of countries with full employment don't all have degrees or pursued "technological/scientific/ business" education. They just contained & punished public corruption & instituted democracy allowing citizens to depose them at the next elections when they fail to deliver
All countries are endowed with scholars who have an important role in the advancement of various sectors of the country. But a decent country needs & deploys ALL her citizens. Everyone plays an indispensable role in the proper functioning of the nation - with or without degrees

Recently, I visited the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem. There I spoke w/a 28 yr old man whose family fled the Arab village of Abu Ghosh in 1948 and he shared their story...I will withhold his name, because I didn’t ask his permission to share this publicly.
Abu Ghosh is on the main road from Jaffa to Jerusalem, an area of heavy fighting between Israel and Jordan in 1948. Because of this, his family voluntarily evacuated, along with most of the town. They fully expected to return home after Jordan defeated Israel.
