Lindsay Graham is despicable. In one horribly written Tweet he:

1. Undermines importance of Whistleblowers to accountability & justice.

2. Rejects the relevance of facts & evidence

3. Endorses foreign election interference

4. Maligns survivors of sexual assault

The old, sexist white men got together this morning & decided today was the day to compare their cynical rejection of whistleblower testimony to their cynical rejection of the testimony of sexual assault survivors. And both use the same “movie sequel” cliche. Incapable of shame

People w/ prior criminal “justice” involvement?
People targeted/criminalized by the system?

Really want to just say “people,” but in a news headline about a changes that impact people w/ records, some qualifier necessary.
Except what about people who are undocumented, legal permanent residents, or from another country with some other legal status?

Last year, visited a client with his social worker at “The Boat.” Otherwise known as the Vernon C. Bain Center. A jail thats part of Rikers just floating in the East River. It houses 600 individuals, most presumed innocent, nearly all black or Latinx. nytimes.com/2019/10/10/nyr…
Far more foreboding in person. And I’ve heard from folks that you can’t tell you’re on a boat when you’re inside. Not true. You can feel the swaying of this massive prison ship.
More details: Built in 1992 in NOLA for $161 million to curb overcrowding at Rikers. Transformed from a defunct Staten Island ferry boat into this massive prison boat. 47,326-tons. 5 stories. As large as 2 football fields.

(1) Today I'm celebrating the best Easter in my 48 years on this earth.

And I'm not even a Christian. But I'll tell you why I'm so grateful for the life and death of Jesus Christ, and those who follow him today, especially those in the USA.
(2) Some years ago I came across the online atheist community, and became very interested in their views and practices. During that time I opened this Twitter account, as a way to connect to that community. I keep the account bc changing the username is too much of a hassle now.
(3) I don't support the practice of assuming a person's beliefs and labeling them according to their Twitter username. I'm an agnostic, not an atheist. I don't believe in God, but I never rule anything out. Atheist SJWs are some of the biggest bullies online.
