CA journalists: tweeting all weekend about 2 million Californians getting their power cut off.

NYC/DC journos on Monday: wait, what?!?!??
Here are my tweets about personal precautions and policy prescriptions, should they be helpful to anyone:
Suffice it to say that if 2 million people on the Acela corridor had their power cut in a desperate attempt to avoid apocalyptic firestorms and the further unraveling of the region’s largest utility, it might have gotten some national coverage.
Oh well, back to forest raking
Cannot imagine how much East Coast media would be freaking out if rolling blackouts were hitting Bethesda or Montclair
But that’s essentially what is happening tonight
If power outages are now in large swaths of east and south Bay Area could mean a) no traffic lights b) school closings c) loss of refrigeration to homes and businesses. This is the new now and a klaxon for the kind of policy and spending we need to do before it costs more later
