Video games are so much harder to code than enterprise web apps. This is counterintuitive for people new to software.

It’s kind of like comedy being more difficult than drama. Fun and games is often technically harder than the serious stuff.
Video games are hard because they push the limits of hardware, require real-time responsiveness, and cater to a fickle audience.

Enterprise web apps aren’t as hard technologically. The difficulty is in domain knowledge, sales, and a thousand details of execution.
