Zuck’s speech was good and necessary as a statement of principles.
Tech has bent too far in the direction of the heckler’s veto over the last few years.

1) Facebook is so powerful that it must be broken up
2) Facebook is “just” a private company so it should censor at will
No. When you have two billion people on your platform, you need to think about the spirit of the law too.

In the short term, the economic & social incentives are on the side of censorship.
But in the long term E2E encryption & crypto will change that.
