Running can be extremely rewarding. But it’s a heck of a task to take on. It will test your willpower and challenge your will power to physical pain. Some tips if u r new to running or want to start

1) Considering how tough running is Ease into it. Your body must adapt to it. Start with 4- 20 min easy run per week for 2 weeks. Then build to 5 per week. Keep building up frequency and distance gradually week over week.
Practise makes perfect. Adopt consistency. One day of workout does not matter, one week doesn’t even matter. What matters is week after week, month after month consistent training. The more consistent you are, the more your body will adapt better.
Keep a schedule. Never leave the house not knowing the plan. You should know what’s the goal of the days run. Tick off the goal of that day. Make a calendar and write ur progress. Use some app like Strava to record.
Once you have done few weeks consistently bring variety. Like speed work (30 sec sprint followed by 30 sec easy for 5 round) or hill run or tempo runs. These workouts will enhance your fitness while building strength and speed.
Do at least one day strength training to strengthen your muscles. Also regularly do your stretching and mobility workout. Do warmups and cool down before and after your run. Use foam rollers. Keep hydrated. And check ur Vit D also.
Stay positive. If your heart and mind is not into it, your progress and results will lag. Sign up for races. U will practise for it. Once you taste the accomplishment of crossing the finishing line, you will want to push further. Enjoy.
