Factually incorrect. He wrote a series of essays in Vol 1 of the 2-volume "Hindu temples: What happened to them" under the editorship of his mentor, Rishi Sita Ram Goel.

Now you see why the people of India don't trust journalists?
Because I'm in the mood to educate you, here goes: One of the superb essays Shourie wrote in Vol 1 is: "Fabrications on the way to the Funeral," first published as an article in The Indian Express, June 26, 1998 where he predicted the impending funeral of secular discourse.
And given your tweet, it's clear that you didn't even bother to *Google* it -- would've taken all of 5 seconds to find the truth widely available in public domain. See why people distrust journalists?
And Volume 2 of the work is entirely written by Rishi Sita Ram Goel. It is he who did the primary, painstaking research & could find recorded, verifiable evidence of 2000+ temples destroyed by Muslims in India. He didn't merely "say." Factual error #3.
Another factual error when you say "such books." This is the ONLY such book that gives such a detailed record listing the Hindu temples demolished by Muslims. Rishi Sita Ram Goel provides evidence from *Muslim* sources who gloat about their temple destruction sprees.
So that's FIVE errors in a SINGLE TWEET. See why people of India don't trust journalists? It's safe to conclude that this lady must've heard about this book in a Khan Market gossip session. The folks who told her were so clueless that they didn't even mention the book name.
