what you think you know, but are woefully ignorant of. I wish you discernment to see truth from lies, fact from manipulation, the whole truth from half the story.

Palestinian men beat and murder their female relative for posting a video online. People on twitter blame Israel for their actions, maybe also "patriarchy" but they lay no blame on the men able to use their culture and lack of law & order to get away with murder.
A young woman was beaten & murdered by her family for "honor" and Muslim/Palestinian women can't come out and blame the men who did it? It is your JOB to call it out, it is your privilege to live in a place where you can! Your sisters need you & you're too busy being political.
It's disgusting. You're not feminists, you don't care about Palestinians. If you did, you'd speak out no matter who hurt them. The PA & Hamas included. You have influence, at least in the US, and could ask leaders to speak out against violence against women, but you don't.

K, non-Hebrew speakers, there is a word you need to know. We'll be using it a lot. HaMatzav - המצב - it means the situation. And it's what we call this kind-of-war but not-a-war and hopefully-won't-lead-to-a-war because nobody wants a war non-war.
To use in a sentence:

We aren't going north because of the matzav.

Because of the matzav, shelters were opened.

My kids are scared to sleep because of the matzav.

I hope the matzav doesn't get worse.

Depending on the matzav, we'll see you later.
I should have mentioned, you can also say, Ma HaMatzav? when you see someone. In this context just means "What's up?" Having nothing to do with any situation

To my fellow Jews: I don't expect everyone to understand what I hear/feel/see when I read the words concentration camp, and since so many don't understand, I'm going to tell you why it hurts so when you accuse us of trying to "own" words.
It's a trauma, a trigger. It's an onslaught of emotion that is not a controllable thing. It is weeks standing in a cattle car with no food water or bathrooms where few survived among the defecation and dead bodies. It is choosing to run and being shot anyway.

I am SICK & TIRED of opportunists drumming up resentment for Ottawa using Albertans distrust for aid from the Feds. @TedMortonMLA is bastardizing Alberta’s history for partisan benefit. @jkenney has often latched on to this theme as well.

Time to debunk lies and reveal the past.
The distrust of OLD STOCK Albertans for Ottawa and the 2 main political parties (PC & LP) is well deserved.

Anyone who is a resident here whose family didn’t endure the Great Depression in the 20th century in Alberta & Saskatchewan has no reason to harbor those feelings.
That mistrust is a result of enduring collective memory of Old Stock Albertan and Saskatchewan residents of Eastern politicians complete abandonment during the worst Depression in Canada’s history.

I grew up here and so did my grandmother, during the Great Depression.

Part of the explanation lies in a selective reading of the Bible. Those advocating mass, & quite possibly indiscriminate death for their brown-skinned bretheren were without doubt referencing the Old Testament God of wrath & fury. early ‘Shock & Awe’.

The 90's gave rise to the internet and mobile phones.

The rest is history.
