Good God. First the Starbucks guy, then Steyer, then Oprah wants the Disney guy to run, now this dude. STOP RUNNING PEOPLE WITH NO ELECTED OFFICE EXPERIENCE FOR PRESIDENT. If you want to get into the field, run for Congress or something first.
“What about US Senate or Governor?” I’m not a big fan of jumping straight to those either, but there’s exceptions. Plus, at least in the Senate you’re only one of 100, and being Governor of Vermont or Wyoming isn’t too much of a stretch from being Mayor of a large city.
With the Presidency, it’s not just like “being Governor of a much larger state”...you’re also in charge of the U.S. Military, the largest nuclear stockpile in the world, AND foreign policy. It’s a whole other level from any other office...as we’re seeing to our dismay.
