I'm going to be on the road for 2 weeks. I've just finished everything that I was actively crocheting, so I need to start a new project. Which yarn would you pick?

And what would be your backup yarn when you inevitably finished on the plane?
Don't worry about the weight or the fiber, this is just a nummy color question.

(Also, I had a few choices but Elsie dragged one of these out of the closet.)

Psst. SF writers. Humans adapt well and quickly to lower gravity. In microgravity, you don't need as much bone, so your body efficiently sheds the requirements it no longer needs.

But we don't adapt well, at all, to higher gravity.
Look at how astronauts react to coming back to Earth if you're writing something about a character going to a planet with higher gravity.

Feel heavy? Sure. It'll feel like they weigh more which will affect muscles.
Their joints will be under a higher gravity load and will hurt, particularly the ankles and knees.

Their circulatory system will also be under more strain, so fainting is more likely.

Potential headaches, nausea, or dizziness from a cerebrospinal fluid shift.

I realized something today as I was sitting looking at a blank Visual Studio Code. I need to rethink how I handle project management. Frankly, right now I start working on an issue, start a new project, find an issue with how I'd implement that project and give up.
I think to stop this running away from issues and just work on projects I am passionate about, I need to push down the number of projects that I am working on. This is super unproductive and frankly meaning I am putting shit on the backburner that shouldn't be.
Therefore, from now and for a while I will only be working on Auttaja, MagicCap, r/Bristol's Discord, Kubecord, and another private project (if you're involved in it, you'll know what it is).

*PREFACE*

H-B was notorious for cloning every successful idea they had eighty fold. Scooby was the most ridiculous example. My criteria for a clone is as simple as their shows: mystery solving and/or monsters with a pet. Sometimes one, the other, or both.

My current count is 22
Final note: I’m pretty sure this list is complete but because Hanna-Barbera’s library is so large I wouldn’t be surprised if I missed at least one or two. If I did let me know and I’ll add it.

Hello! Inspired by a Discord discussion, I want to write a little thread on the three most common problems I've noticed in people not completing creative projects (a lack of planning, scope issues, and perfectionism) and some ways to combat them.
The first is practice. Finishing things is a skill, it's not something that we naturally know how to do. Our inspiration will fade at points in a project, and if we don't have a plan to get through the times when we just don't want to work on it, we won't finish.
So you need to make sure you have a plan. Figure out HOW you're going to complete a project before you start. That way, when you're annoyed and bored with the project and Just Don't Wanna, you can just consult your plan and know what step needs to be taken next.

If you’re an academic you need a website so that people can easily find info about your research and publications. Here’s how to make your own website for free in an under an hour using the blogdown package in #Rstats [THREAD]
So why use blogdown? Sure, there are several free options available to start your own blog (e.g., Medium). However, you generally can’t list your publications or other information easily on these services. Also, who knows where these services will be in a few years?
There are also some great point-and-click services available (e.g., Squarespace). However, you need to pay about $10 a month for these services, and they’re generally not well suited for academic webpages.
