both articles are lengthy attacks on the Morales gov, which even for Jacobin standards, are light on even cursory recognition of the achievements of the people and states they target
in the first article, we're told, among other things, that Morales's servitude to capital has been better than "the right could have hoped for"; that thanks to Morales, Milton Friedman "is resting peacefully in his grave"
we're told Morales is the darling of the World Bank and the IMF, the first of which he is said to be "far closer" to than his predecessors
In this tale, it's not merely the the banks, mining companies, various international organs of imperialist rule, reactionary anti-chavista economists and the like who love Morales, but those from the "heartland of white supremacy"
lack of any serious analysis on the international and domestic balance of forces is to be expected from these shameful left-washing imperialism pieces, but the grotesque and slanderous intent here is made especially clear in the outline of Bolivia's primary antagonisms
Jacobin would have you believe that on the one side is the Morales gov, capital, imperialism and its attendant reaction and fascism. And on the other side, the working class, the indigenous and planet earth. In other words, SOSBolivia
